Peter Holtby has often been described as a Master Clockmaker. Now a retired member of the British Horological Institute he was trained and Qualified in Antiquarian Horology at West Dean College. For over 30 years he has been developing his skills in the art of designing and producing individual, hand made, Skeleton Clocks in the traditional style. The Millennium clock, featured on this home page, is considered to be one of his finest achievements.

We are also reputed to be “Clockmaker to the Clockmakers”. We have the worlds fastest clock wheel and pinion cutting service and are able to make, and supply, skeleton clock parts. Peter’s skills, as a skeleton clock maker, qualify him to offer services in hand piercing of dials and frames. Our traditional dial Silvering powder is used by countless trades’ people.
